The Orchards of Concklin

The Orchards of Concklin have been a family business since 1711. They are located in the Pomona region, which is named after the goddess of fruit in honor of Nicholas Concklin, the founder of the farm.

Their location is a convenient 35 miles from New York City and makes a great turnaround or refueling point. They have a little grocery store which sells many of their own products including fresh pressed apple cider (in single serve containers), apple cinnamon donuts, pie and local honey.

After departing the city and passing through Palisades the scenery quickly transitions to residential to small town to country. The terrain is mostly rolling but the Palisades and Little Tor are challenging hills that will add a little extra challenge to your ride.

Narrow ribbon of road just outside of the orchards
If you want a little extra climbing, why not head up Little Tor and then double back to the orchards?
